History

Rinnai & Co. was setup in 1920 by Hidejiro Naito and Kanekichi Hayashi and it began exports of gas appliances that included water-heating units, cooking appliances, stoves etc in 1923. Rinnai Corporation, the wholly owned subsidy of Rinnai Japan has played a pivotal role in marketing and distribution of its innovative products in North America ever since 1974.

Rinnai Hot Water Heaters - Features

Rinnai hot water heaters feature the tankless technology, which provides unlimited source of hot water thereby ensuring the same tank of water is not heated and reheated endlessly. One of the most popular types of Rinnai water heaters is this tankless water heater that is particularly known for their innovative technology and has revolutionized the water heater industry.

The tankless water heater doesn't contain a water tank to store preheated water as this type of a water heater instantly delivers hot water as soon as the tap is turned on. Since the water doesn't need to be heated time and again, it does use less energy and offers up to 40% energy savings.

The conventional tank water heaters can literally take up a lot of space but with Rinnai water heaters, one can save on a lot of space because the tankless water heater can be installed on any wall either inside or outside the house. The various models under tankless water heaters can be divided under three categories and they are:

Rinnai Tankless Water Heater - Value Line

The Value Line of tankless water heaters are ideal when a quality water heater is required but at a completely affordable cost. There are two models under this category and they are Rinnai model V53i(indoor) and V53e(exterior).

This unit is suited for 1-2 bathroom homes. Although as the water cools in the winter, 50°F or cooler ground water you may only be able to run 1 shower or appliance at a time.

Both the models are 5.3 GPM Gas Tankless Water Heaters where the first one comes with a max BTU of 150,000, the second one offers maximum BTU of 120,000.

Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters - Luxury Line

The Luxury Line of tankless water heaters covers four different models and they are R94LSe, R94LSi, R75SLSi and R75SLSe. Which are suited for mid to large sized homes or can be combined with Rinnai's EZConnect® feature for commercial purposes.

• R94LSe: This particular external Rinnai hot water heater features a capacity of 9.4 gallons per minute (GPM) and can supply continuous hot water to almost five plumbing and appliance outlets at one time in the summer season.


• R94LSi: This model of interior Rinnai water heater offers a capacity of up to 9.4 gallons of hot water per minute (GPM) and the extremely compact interior-mount unit can vent directly to the outside.


• R75LSi: Perfect for two to three bathroom homes depending on ground water temperatures, this indoor water heater is capable of delivering of up to 7.5 gallons of hot water per minute (GPM) while it even saves on energy and money.


• R75LSe: This particular model of tankless water heater Energy STAR® Qualified, easy to install and can deliver up to 7.5 gallons of hot water per minute.

Ultra Line - Condensing Tankless Water Heaters

The Ultra Line is extremely unique and distinctive and features four models with different capacities and they are RC80HPi, RC80HPe, RC98HPe and RC98HPi. Condensing tankless water heaters offer technology that increases the efficiency of the units to a higher height.

In choosing one of ultra models you are thinking long term cost and green, while needing a higher output of hot water for a home having 3 plus bathrooms.

• RC80HPi: This indoor water heater is a condensing tankless water heater that is known to deliver more efficiency that makes it ideal for mid to large sized homes.


• RC80HPe: This is an Energy Star Qualified exterior tankless water heater, which offers up to 97% thermal efficiency. The choice of models available includes natural gas and propane.


• RC98HPe: This particular external Rinnai water heater is known for its ultra efficiency and comes with a maximum BTU of 199,000 and maximum energy factor of 0.93.


• RC98HPi: This model of interior water heater is Energy Star® Qualified and comes with a maximum energy factor of 0.94.

Additional Accessories

• Digital Controller Rinnai includes the MC-91 controller for interior models, the MC91-1-S is standard for exterior units. There are upgrades such as MC-100V-1-s deluxe controller to conrol temperature for multiple locations and the BC-100V-1US-1 Bath-Fill digital controller.


• Flexible InstallationIs a concentric venting system that consists of a single vent, that exhaustes gases and brings in combustion air from outdoors by enclosing both, a metal tube and PVC/metal tube.


• EZConnect® Which allows you to connect two units by a simple cord or more if needed.
